WORK LOCATION : Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

​​​​​​​ WORK HOURS : PRN, as needed. Rotating shifts, includes holidays requirements

DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS :

· Holiday and minimum call rotation required

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Education :

· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required

· Graduate of an AMA approved / accredited Ultrasound Program preferred

· Associate degree preferred

Experience :

· 1 Year experience in a hospital setting preferred

Licenses and Certifications :

· BCLS—Basic Cardiac Life Support—prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

· ARRT—American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography—Upon Hire preferred and

· ARRT—American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography—12 Months required or

· ARDMS—American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers—Upon Hire preferred and

· ARDMS—American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers—12 Months required

WHAT YOU WILL DO

· Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing:

· Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to and during exam.

· Images correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols.

· Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.

· Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, suggest differential diagnosis.

· Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS.

· Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
