Aerotek Diesel Truck/Bus Shop Technician in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Description:

This position performs mechanical services on trucks and buses, both new and used, for the Engine Division’s Service Department. Duties include performing service and repairs, troubleshooting all aspects of the vehicle, writing service reports, recording time assigned to jobs and maintaining company equipment.

They will be responsible for the following:

-Preparation and delivery of new and used vehicles for both truck and bus groups. Installing dealer supplied components: cameras, luggage compartment, heaters, etc.

-Diagnoses and troubleshoots customer’s electrical and mechanical problems to assure the entire vehicle runs safely and efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

-3-5 years of diesel engine repair exp

-Experience performing repairs and service on the following within a Diesel vehicle

-chassix, drivetrain, electrical systems,

Shifts:

1st- 6 am-3:30 pm

2nd- 3 pm-12 am

OT:

1st Shift- - Techs have been working overtime starting at 5am- 4pm; Friday they leave early. Techs are working 50-60 hours a week but there are no weekends; overtime opportunities available.

Pay: $27 - $40
