Position Summary PACCAR's Embedded Engineering department, which supports the Peterbilt, Kenworth, and DAF truck brands, has an opening for a Technical Project Manager - Embedded Systems. Reporting to the Sup and projectProject Management Team, this position will lead vehicle function development through the V-Cycle Development Process from requirements definition through system validation for their assigned projects. This position supports a global vehicle platform and will need to coordinate and align global requirements, hardware and software development, electrical development, and testing. This position will be working cohesively with North American teaEuropean Europe teams to deliver our next-level Dashboard/Infotainment display that will host and monitor Engine Info, BEV info, O,BD Info and information from other controllers. The successful candidate will have technical and project management experience gained from participating in and coordinating development across multiple engineering teams through the utilization of appropriate product development methods leading to high-quality product launches. Job Functions/Responsibilities Lead product development through initial design concepts, project budget and schedule development, risk identification, and mitigation, and support quality product implementations in a matrixed organization Coordinate technical development of components (both hardware and software) with technical leads within the department Serve as the liaison between truck division Program Managers and Embedded Engineering teams to understand program risks, development activities, and technical issues Ensure intellectual property coverage for new Embedded Engineering technical ideas Lead technical review meetings related to assigned projects Coordinate functional safety reviews and track completion of safety concepts Build and present product development updates to senior leadership Lead continuous improvement for software design and validation processes Support ASPiCE process integration throughout PACCAR Adhere to PACCAR global corporate standards for embedded system development and validation Develop, manage, and improve Embedded Engineering department procedures and work with the organization to implement enhancements Support department staff with training on procedures and processes related to embedded systems Skills & Qualifications Required B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree Design experience in electrical systems, embedded components, or software systems Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization Experience in the full lifecycle process for software development using established project management methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Iterative) Experience in component product development lifecycle and new
