The IT Project Manager is a pivotal role that spearheads significant transformation initiatives across various IT domains, including applications, infrastructure, security, and services, ensuring they align with the organization’s strategic objectives and adhere to established delivery frameworks, procedures, and standards. This dynamic position not only involves the development and implementation of a robust project management framework to navigate projects through critical stage gates but also encompasses the ongoing maintenance of the IT project portfolio, prioritization of initiatives, and the continual enhancement and standardization of project management tools and functional reporting.

The individual in this role must possess exceptional organizational and project leadership skills, coupled with the ability to make informed decisions, and communicate effectively. They must be proficient in directing team activities, adept at addressing and mitigating project issues and risks, and committed to orchestrating the successful and comprehensive delivery of IT initiatives.

Responsibilities

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively.

  • Implement and oversee a project management framework and process, including stage gates, to ensure consistent project progression and quality control.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans to track progress and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation, including the management of external contractors and consultants.

  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.

  • Report and escalate issues to management as needed.

  • Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, including conducting stakeholder meetings and presentations.

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Core Proficiencies and Skills

The IT Project Manager is required to interact with staff at all levels and have a demonstrated level of technical aptitude for the areas supported. The following skills and proficiencies are essential of the position:

  • Proven working experience in project management in the IT sector.

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, ERP systems (especially SAP), data and analytics, and security projects.

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, 2-5 years of project management experience and 1-3 years of IT experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Business and financial acumen – budget creation and analysis, resource capacity planning, time management across IT and business operations.

  • Organizational, project skills.

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including delivering presentations; status updates; issue resolution updates.

  • Business process skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • PMP Certification is a plus.

The standard compensation for this role is $93,200 - $134,600. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.

Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
