DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Load Coordinator will support the Shipping Department in overall daily operation by performing a variety of administrative and analytical tasks to improve load efficiencies. Develop multi-piece loads through Engineering to the DOT customer. Provide load configuration and develop routing package for all jobs to ensure preliminary permit approvals on all jobs. Additional assignments include developing loads using the Bill of Lading system, ordering permits, DOT record keeping, documenting equipment specifications, and serving as backup to other shipping team members, as necessary.

This position is located at the High Transit Office in Lancaster, PA working Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. 

Essential Job Functions: * Obtain customer sequence schedules in advance from project Incorporate sequence data and load configurations with B.O.M. data to provide "Shipping Pick List" maintained in future file. * Analyze specialty equipment requirements from "Super load" data and determine with the Engineering Group the "best practice" for delivery efficiency, stress, and customer requests. * Create initial comprehensive load configuration data for "Shipping Control Boards" for scheduling and control of specialty equipment. * Maintain equipment database necessary to obtain permits. * Primary back up to develop routing formats in the APRAS system for ordering Penn Dot This includes ordering routine issue permits and super loads. In addition, support the Permit Coordinator in ordering permits for all other states. * Assist in pre-bid design and pre-bid analysis of complex Analysis includes coordinating load configurations, developing acceptable follow-up, and recommendations for follow up jobsite visits. Maintain data and coordinate documentation on those successful projects to develop routing, etc. * Support the Shipping Group in cross training in all areas as * Create bills of lading each * Routing/ work with contractors * Maintain vendor data in SAP. * Maintain Shipper/broker data in SAP. * Perform invoicing on 3rd Party loads.  Average of 4 invoices per week/month. * Daily Trailer Yard Check and Data enter in Schedule.

Qualifications: * High School diploma or GED required * Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills * Working knowledge of Office 365, with an emphasis on Excel * Ability to read engineering drawings and strong mathematical application skills is desirable * Working knowledge of mapping software * D.O.T. compliance knowledge and/or complete audit certificate * Familiar with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
