Armstrong World Industries, Inc., has an internship opportunity for a Systems Analyst Intern within our Customer Solutions IT team located at our corporate campus in Lancaster, PA, under the supervision of an experienced IT service manager. Our team of IT professionals are committed to providing world-class leadership and service to our organization as well as develop the future IT leaders of tomorrow. As a Systems Analyst Intern, you will gain a breadth of knowledge spanning all aspects of IT and business functions as you provide IT support to the organization.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Learn software applications used to support IT Operations Management and IT Service Management processes
Provide Concierge-level Service in resolving customer issues and requests
Prioritize and execute tasks with a sense of urgency
Create and maintain system and process documentation
Conduct research to solve issues and/or enhance software applications
Support IT on process improvement efforts
Contribute to IT project work
Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to work independently
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related area) with a G.P.A of 3.0 or higher
Must be a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
Outstanding interpersonal skills with the specific ability to work in teams
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong documentation skills
Well-developed computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must be able to provide your own mode of transportation
Working knowledge or coursework in the following areas or technologies:
Object oriented architecture
Debugging of code
Software development lifecycle
Linux and/or Windows server environments
Requirements elicitation and analysis
