Intermountain Health Employee Assistance Program Counselor in Murray, Utah

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing a full continuum of clinical and well-being based counseling services to employees, managers and teams for a rapidly growing and dynamic Employee Assistance Program. This position will be working full-time with the option to work hybrid 25% of the time. This person will join and be supported by a dynamic team of skilled clinicians who are passionate about their work, care for each other and those they support, value team engagement and clinical excellence.

Position Details:

This is clinical counseling positions working for Intermountain Health’s Employee Assistance Program clinical team. Job essentials include:

  • Providing counseling services and short-term therapeutic interventions, support referrals and case management needs for a broad range of personal and work-related concerns for individuals, couples and families.

  • Serve as consultant regarding behavior health related matters in the workplace, working closely with key organization stakeholders and leaders in support of employee well-being, health, safety and productivity.

  • Create and maintain confidential electronic medical records in accordance with EAP and HIPAA guidelines.

  • Use telehealth platforms to provide EAP services as needed.

  • Consult with HR and supervisors regarding troubled employees; provide services on behalf of supporting performance improvement.

  • Provides EAP related trainings demonstrating expertise in design and delivery, both in person and virtually.

  • Provide crisis intervention services across system in conjunction with other EAP and system staff.

This position will be based out of Murray, Utah and surrounding areas.

The incumbents will join and be supported by a dynamic team of skilled clinicians who are passionate about their work, care for each other and those they support, value team engagement and clinical excellence.

This is a Full-time role that will work Monday-Friday normal business hours with a 2 hours a week outside of normal business hours 7AM to 7PM.

Salary is based on licensure and years of experience.

EAP Counselor Pay Range: $31.38 - $46.16

EAP Consultant Pay Range: $32.89-$50.76

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Counseling related field. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

  • Current licensure (or associate level) LCSW, LMFT, CMHC, or LPC.

  • Ability to work with children, adolescents, adults, individuals and couples.

  • Demonstrated ability to function in an autonomous work environment.

  • Experience in training and presenting.

  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • EAP experience.

  • Experience using Brief Solution-focused counseling models.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$33.39 - $51.52
