PARK NATIONAL BANK Item Processing Operations Manager in Newark, Ohio

Description SUPERVISOR DISCLAIMER Supervisory Responsibilities: Interview and select candidates for openings, set goals for associates, assign tasks/duties, conduct on-the-job training, develop associates' skills and encourage growth, prepare disciplinary write-ups as appropriate, prepare and conduct performance reviews and make recommendations for salary adjustments, approve timecards for FTEs and other duties associated with managing a staff. RESPONSIBILITY #Ll-Hybrid Flexible Work Arrangement available: Hybrid w/ some on-site hours expected weekly in Newark, Ohio. Oversee customer transactions processing and transaction maintenance, while ensuring key operational deadlines are met Develop, implement, and review operational procedures and processes related to the movement of transaction processing in a scalable and compliant manner Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness Leadership includes responsibility of associates resolving and correcting posted transaction errors, completing verification of deposits, garnishments, levies, child support, subpoenas and affidavits for domestic collections from other banks Responsible for adherence to regulatory requirements connected to transaction processing and funds availability Understand and act as subject matter expert on tangible and intangible bank property and processes Maintain knowledge of industry trends and regulatory environment to ensure compliance and effective transaction processing Support development of direct team members and department by providing direction, structure, resources, information, and educational opportunities related to their role Identification and utilization of technology enhancements through automation, robotics and process evolution Individually and as part of the team, participate in identifying, measuring, monitoring, and mitigating departmental and enterprise-wide risks Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank's compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards Other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES Interpersonal/Customer Service Skills Written and Verbal Communication Ability to understand and follow directions Adaptable to change Basic Computer Skills Leadership/ Management Skills Ability to influence others Ability to build collaborative relationships Ability to develop or mentor others Organizational Skills/ Detail Oriented Able to Multi-Task or Juggle Priorities Problem/ Situation Analysis Strategic Planning and Decision Making Enthusiastic for change and adaptation PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time, constantly operates a computer, and is in constant communication with coworkers to discuss and observe account information in order to exchange accurate information. SCHEDULE Typical office hours are Monday through Friday, 8-5. Some Saturdays may be required. A flexible work arrangement may be available for this role.
