Purpose:

The Marketing Manager for IZERVAY will be a key member of the brand marketing team and report to the Sr. Director of Patient Marketing.

IZERVAY is a recently approved treatment for Geographic Atrophy secondary to Age-Related Macular Degeneration and is forecasted to be a top growth driver for Astellas over the next several years with the potential for additional indications for use.

The position comes with high visibility and accountability to the executive team and opportunity for growth and career advancement. The successful candidate will lead the planning, project management, tactical execution, and measurement of all Direct-to Consumer activities for IZERVAY across multiple channels.

This person is responsible for the flawless execution of promotional tactics in close collaboration with partners including creative and media agencies, promotional review committee members, insights and analytics, the sales team, and other internal stakeholders across functions.

Responsibilities will evolve based on business needs, lifecycle of the brand, and competencies required on specific projects.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Management of core tactics and programs to drive brand awareness and patient education.

  • Ensure projects are running smoothly, on-time, and on-budget to meet critical objectives.

  • Manage multiple projects and complexity under tight deadlines.

  • Develop and maintain tracking and progress monitoring dashboards in partnership with analytics team.

  • Support development of advertising creative in collaboration with agencies of record.

  • Lead promotional review committee submissions and reviews with legal/regulatory partners.

  • Build clear and compelling stories/updates using PowerPoint and other programs.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners.

Qualifications Required:

Experience and Behaviors

  • 5+ years of project management, account management, and/or marketing coordination in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical device, or healthcare advertising environments.

  • Results and performance driven.

  • Possess unwavering attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Preferred:

  • Experience working on or for a product launch team.

  • Experience working in eyecare/ophthalmics.

Salary range: $131,000.00 - $175,000.00 / year. (NOTE: Final Salary could be more or less, commensurate with experience).
