VALLEY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH Kitchen Manager in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Job Summary & Deliverables

The Kitchen Manager manages all food service activities for the assigned unit including menu development and execution, food delivery, inventory and purchasing of supplies, cost control, and sanitation. The Manager monitors client satisfaction and maintains compliance with federal, state, and local food service regulations. 

 

 Job Highlights

  • Shift: Sun-Wed, 11AM-8PM | Thurs, 11AM-3PM

  • Unit: Pheasant Hollow

  • Pay: Starting at $18.50/hour

  • Rate increases based upon years of experience

Essential Functions

  • Directs and manages menu creation, meal preparation, and plating

  • Creates and updates menus ensuring the inclusion of foods that are varied, nutritionally balanced, and meet individual dietary requirements 

  • Monitors client and staff satisfaction

  • Supervises the daily activities of kitchen employees

  • Manages supply orders, cost control, and mitigation of waste

  • Resolves issues referred from operations and manages the implementation of resolutions

  • Manages the maintenance of kitchen equipment and repairs

  • Maintains a clean, organized, safe, and compliant kitchen

High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of kitchen management experience

  • ServSave Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in healthcare food service
