About you and this role

We have an exciting opportunity for aNew Campus Graduate(NCG) as a Supply Chain Scheduling SpecialistinTerneuzen, the Netherlands.

Our location in Terneuzen is Dow’s second largest manufacturing site worldwide, where also our EMEAI service hub is located.  We have more than 50 different nationalities and about 3500 employees working together, of which a significant part is playing a key role in the Integrated Supply Chain activities of Dow. On top of that, the employees are crucial in the development of innovate products and sustainable solutions for our supply chain and customers.

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to balance the right supply & demand, and make sure we have the right products, at the right time in the different warehouse hubs across EMEA.

In addition, the Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving a healthy cross collaboration dynamics between the different functions, continuous searching for improvement opportunities to optimize cost and quality in the supply chain and drive a very customer central culture in line with the business strategy.

The Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist is closely aligned to the Business Supply Chain Planner (BSCP) and other Production Planners and be accountable for performance on supply chain quality, service, costs and working capital of the different warehouse hubs assigned to your responsibility. The Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist will be aligned to Consumer Solutions Business.

Responsibilities

Generates a time-phased supply schedule to fulfill business requirements in the short-term, while considering plant wide constraints, and meeting inventory and customer service targets.

Determines and/or executes the most effective regional or global sourcing rules.

Where applicable, implements external manufacturing agreements or executes agreements already in place.

Owns and operates site or regional planning models (provides functional expertise for model operation; assures most efficient use of information technology).

Serves as a local site coordinator/planner for integration of internal demand, utilities or environmental operations at a particular location.

Routinely checks and tracks inventory quantity, slow-moving or other inventory statuses and ensures that inventory volumes meet the plan.

Identifies, prioritizes and addresses supply issues (e.g. short-term capacity constraints, product shortage, emergency customer order received, uncovered production requirement, etc.)

Leads collaboration with customer service, manufacturing, logistics, third-party service providers and business partners to meet business obligations in case of unplanned events.

Ensures proper maintenance of production parameters (material masters, work centres, routings) to ensure effective planning.

Follows best practices, procedures and governance over master data.

Supports global supply chain initiatives by interfacing with other supply chain personnel in the business and shared services.

Qualifications

  • A recent or soon-to-be bachelor or master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field.

  • Less than 2 years of professional working experience.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
